Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much is my water bill?

A: Please click here to find more information about your bill and how to pay online.

Q: I had a leak between the meter and my house so really didn’t benefit from the water, plus, this is the first break we’ve ever had…can’t you charge me at a lesser rate?

A: Unfortunately, as much as we would like to, no.  Our rates reflect the true costs of operations, so, to charge otherwise would not be fair to all other Members.

Q: Why doesn’t NCWA invest in technologies that could alert Members to leaks, overuse, etc.

A: NCWA is always looking at improving our systems.  Unfortunately, transforming to smart meters is very costly both initially and operationally and not cost effective at this point in time.  Please click here for more information on water meter leaks or high water bills.

Q: What are the current water rates?

A: The current water rates can be found here.

Q: I’m interested in purchasing a tap for my property.  How do I go about applying for a tap?

A: NCWA is currently in a tap moratorium and is not accepting tap applications at this time.

Q: What is happening with the current drought situation?

A: Information about the drought can be found on the U.S. Drought Monitor website here.
